We are proud to have taken delivery of the first of 11 new compressed bio gas (CBG) powered tractor units. The new Scania R410 4×2 tractor is driven by a 13-litre, CBG-powered engine which runs on renewable biomethane. It delivers an 85% reduction in CO2 emissions, helping Campeys to hit sustainability targets without compromising on performance. The first unit will feature a new green livery to highlight its environmental credentials and stand out from the 100-strong fleet.

Harry Campey started the business in the 1930s with just one truck. His youngest son married the daughter of Stan Robson, the founder of Robson’s Border Transport.
Campeys of Selby Ltd is now owned and run by his Grandson Paul Campey, the third generation of Selby based hauliers, with his son Harry Campey, who is the fourth generation, now working within the business also.

Due to securing a long term storage contract with a Selby based manufacturer and continuous expansion, we’re delighted to announce that we’ve added another storage location to our operation.
The 61,000 sq/ft brand new high bay warehouse is situated in Kellingley, WF11 and once fully fitted out will capacity to store 9,500 pallets. This will also be the new home of our Palletforce operation in Q4. Some information about the site:
• 12.5m eaves.
• 3 dock levellers and 2 ground doors.
• Fully electric mechanical handling equipment for operations powered by solar panels on the roof.
• Various ISO accreditations and BRCGS pending.
• Will be Carbon Neutral once fully operational.
We are awaiting our second planning application decision in regards to a purpose built site in Selby but this site for now will increase our service offerings to customers and allow us to expand further thus creating jobs.
Service offerings available will be, but not limited to:
• Ambient pallet storage and distribution.
• Container unloading/loading.
• Co-packing and pallet rework.
• Campeys fleet on site and daily pallet network trucks departing, up to 18.00 call off for next day delivery UK wide.
With our new contract occupying circa 60% of the warehouse, we have space available for new and existing customers.
