The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme for fleet operators which aims to raise the level of quality within fleet operations, and to demonstrate which operators are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.
We were awarded the basic level of accreditation in February 2016, but we then decided to go another level above and go for Silver. The two years of extra expense and hard work meant more training for drivers, more training for office staff and extra safety equipment for our assets, which all results in a safer job all round.
